Blossom Hill Road

The Blossom Hill Rd. UC improvement project consists of the widening of the existing Blossom Hill Rd. Overcrossing, the installation of three new pedestrian travel ways (and Bike Path), two Retaining Walls, and one Sound Wall in South San Jose, CA. The Blossom Hill Rd. Widening will add multiple lanes for public traffic, spanning US-101 with an added Bent in the median.  The construction of 2 Pedestrian Under crossings, 1 Pedestrian Overcrossing, and 2 retaining walls will increase safety among pedestrians and cyclists along with increased ADA accessibility. This project is set to be completed by summer of 2021.

Town of Moraga

Located just south of the Town of Moraga, the Canyon Road Bridge Replacement Project replaces a single-lane temporary bridge that spans over the Moraga Creek with a new, 2-lane single-span cast-in-place structure that includes a pedestrian walkway.  The project also incorporates 2 new precast concrete retaining walls and 2 bio-retention basins, which allows for better drainage and a wider, safer roadway and bridge.  The project started 4/20/2020 and is projected to be completed by the end of 2021.

SR 132/99 Phase 1 Realignment- City of Modesto

City of Modesto SR 132/99 Realignment

The City of Modesto Rte 132/99 Phase 1 Realignment Project is designed to realign SR 132 from N. Dakota to Kansas Ave. in downtown Modesto. The project consists of two over-crossing bridges, two under-crossing bridges, and one separation bridge over SR 99. The project also consists of deep foundation construction of Cast-In-Drilled-Hole (CIDH) and Driven Steel Piling, nearly two miles of retaining walls with varying architectural treatment, and a large pumping plant structure with intake storage culvert.

Mount Veeder 4.0 Grade Beam Wall Project

The project consists of building a 150 feet concrete grade beam wall supported on 18” concrete CIDH (cast-in-place drilled-hole) piles and stitch piles. The grade beam wall depth varies from 1’ to 8’. The CIDH and stitch piles depth are approximately 20’.

Berryessa Knoxville Rd. Culvert Replacement Project – Napa, CA

This Project replaced an existing culvert with a new 25’ long reinforced concrete slab bridge that was damaged during a storm event in 2017. The new bridge has (2) 12’ travel lanes and steel bridge railings attached to the deck. The project required a water diversion and roadway detour.

In the picturesque park in Lafayette, the existing pedestrian bridge was demolished and a new structure was constructed in it’s placing utilizing the existing abutments. The trail profile was raised to the new bridge approaches.

California High Speed Rail- Contract Package 4 Structures

Contract Package 4 Structures, California High-Speed Rail Authority, Wasco, CA (Subcontractor to California Rail Builders, LLC)

As part of Contract Package 4, the work required was three bridge structures in Wasco, CA. They consist of the Poso Creek Overpass, the Poso Avenue Overpass and the SR-46 High Speed-Rail Structure.

Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Access Improvement Project-Package B1

Rte 580 Richmond/San Rafael Bridge Emergency Bridge Repair, Richmond/San Rafael, CA Caltrans #04-3Q9404

Because of the deteriorating bridge deck and expansion joints on the upper deck of the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge, it was necessary for Caltrans to issue an emergency contract for the repair work. The work consisted of replacing the joint seals on the upper bridge deck using rapid setting concrete. The work was completed in three months.

SR 12 and SR 113 Interchange Roundabout

Rte 12/113 Roundabout, Rio Vista, CA Caltrans #04-4G5604 (Subcontractor to O. C. Jones & sons, Inc.)

The Project included construction of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Rte 12 and Rte 113. The Project components consisted of approach legs, splitter islands, center island, traversable apron, roadway, intersection widening, drainage system, guard rail replacement, lighting installation, construction staging and site clean-up and restoration. The concrete structures constructed consisted of a round retaining wall, barrier transitions and a structural curb. The retaining wall required colored concrete, aesthetic texture and stain.
