Rte 101 Bridge Rehabilitation, Pismo Beach, CA Caltrans #05-1C3704
The Project involves both: work to repair and armor the banks along a 222-foot reach of
Pismo Creek where it flows westerly beneath State Route 101 and its appurtenant
bridges; and construction of new piers to fortify an existing bent supporting the
westernmost of the three bridges. The work included extension dewatering operations of the Pismo Creek for access, wet CIDH and rock socket construction, permanent casings, sheet pile walls, bridge columns, falsework, bent cap construction (with self-consolidating concrete) and pre-stressing concrete.
