Sycamore Trail Pedestrian Bridge
Local residents of the City of West Sacramento will now have access to Sycamore Trail Pedestrian Overcrossing, a 680′ long earthquake-resistant bridge which connects the local elementary school to adjacent neighborhoods north of US-50. Over 600 cubic yards of concrete were placed for the bridge and 3 adjacent retaining walls to complete the ADA compliant trail realignment. This project includes the addition of a utility access driveway, a parking lot extension, reconstruction of two existing bioretention basins, and the expansion of the community garden. Travelers entering the City of West Sacramento will be greeted with a beautiful welcome sign mounted to the architectural bridge fencing.
